rants: out geek your friends carrying your favorite MS Windows applications with you at all time in an USB device

The PortableApps.com PlatformI came across PortableApps. You choose the application you want, download the .exe installer and run it without admin rights unto a subdirectory of your choice.

I’d recommend getting the Platform application, which works as a menu for your applications and even gives you an up-to-date list of applications to choose from. The program even installs them for you and displays them in its menu. Take a look at my menu so far (on the right).

I installed BPBible that I need to learn how to use and Gramps that I’m using to make my family tree.

I must say that some applications have been stripped of some bells and whistles, but they work like a charm.

As a form of disclaimer, I must emphasize I don’t promote and/or endorse any program and/or system even if I use it all the time.
